Boilermaker

Boilermakers are comprised of a versatile group of workers skilled in building and repairing barges, cranes, boilers, tanks, plate, and structural fabrications, among other projects. These adept professionals frequently employ equipment like acetylene torches, power grinders, and more for tasks such as welding, burning, cutting, rigging, layout and bolting.

Bricklayer

This group consists of bricklayers, tile setters, plasterers, marble masons, restoration workers, as well as terrazzo and mosaic specialists. Beyond conventional bricklaying, they may also be involved in projects like furnace installations or cold storage setups, where they install insulating blocks

Carpenter

Carpentry work encompasses a range of options, including framing, finish carpentry, formwork, scaffold building, sheeting, floor laying, drywall installation, various roofing systems, metal sheeting, sandwich panels, and the installation of door and window hardware packages. These elements represent just some of the many facets of the construction industry.

Cement Mason

Cement masons oversee all aspects of concrete construction, from pouring and finishing slabs, steps, and wall tops to crafting curbs, gutters, sidewalks and paved areas.

Ironworker

Ironworkers specialize in assembling and erecting steel frameworks in structures ranging from buildings and bridges to dams and skyscrapers. Their expertise includes raising, placing, and uniting steel girders and columns, welding for metal decking, and managing all facets of pre-engineered metal buildings – from insulation to overhead doors, metal sheeting, and sandwich panels. They also have jurisdiction over tasks like rebar placement, heavy rigging, and ornamental projects, including window and sash work.

Laborer

Initially responsible for tasks like cleaning, shoveling, sweeping, and landscaping, Laborers have expanded their roles in recent years. They now handle rough concrete work, underground pipe installations, demolition and a variety of other construction-related duties.

Millwright

Millwrights possess a distinctive skill set, including machinery and conveyor installation, turbine and pump operations, heavy rigging and welding.

Operating Engineer

Operating engineers serve the construction industry as heavy equipment operators, mechanics, and surveyors.

Pipefitter

These roles involve installing, remodeling, or maintaining systems that transport water, steam, air, and other fluids or gases essential for sanitation, industrial production, heating, and air conditioning, among other purposes. Workers at both residential and commercial sites measure, cut, and bend pipes, employing techniques like welding, brazing, caulking, soldering, gluing or threading to join them.
